Correct on all counts.
Why would you need to notify abutters for recreational use of a city park? |

| Just to be considerate...it's a change in their neighborhood. Again - not being contrary. |

This is my neighborhood too. I live here. I take my dog to this park every day after work. I know its not a dog park.
Ive met a lot of nice folks here who accept me and are kind and considerate. It makes me love Charlestown so much, it gives me a feeling of community. I will be gald to see this space active. I am sure I will meet more nice folks.
The area that the rink is being installed in is a hockey rink!
How is that a change in use. I plan on skating here as soon as it opens.
I hope that you will join me and my neighbors.

I have an idea...why don't we all meet at the skating park and reveal our secret identities, have a hot chocolate, and argue in person? |

Everybody should thank Dougie MacDonald and his friend! (sorry don't know his name) They have been down there everyday maintaining it! I hope the kids and adults enjoy it! Hopefully there will be no more setbacks!
Thanks! |

| My bet is Dougie wouldn't refuse a helping hand out there once in awhile either. |

Doug put forth tremendous time to make the rink a reality. Everything from securing permitting, to sponsors, to insurance. Joe Bianco helped him lay down the tarp, build the sides, flood it and then prepare the ice. They made a hand-pushed zamboni to condition the ice daily.
Why did Doug do it? Because he thought it would be great for the kids of Charlestown.
To me, he's a clear example of the perfect candidate for the Charlestown Appreciation Awards. Thanks for ALL you do Doug! |

| does anyone know when the huge tree fell in Eden Street park? I noticed as i rode by on Sunday...was it Saturday night? I was thinking when i saw it - I hope no people were around when it happened. They would have been seriously hurt. |

| I fell down sometime Saturday afternoon. I heard it was dead and with all the wind it just fell. No one was hurt but, very lucky because there are always kids and babies near that bench. Maybe the city should check the other trees to be sure those aren't dead as well. |
